Under the direction of Senior Merck Environmental Laboratory (MEL) Management, the Environmental Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of daily laboratory activities in support of Environmental and Pharmaceutical testing programs within MEL. Provides overall ownership of their area with responsibilities including but not limited to:
Providing direction, training, and administration of employee relations policies and procedures to hourly personnel within the framework of the existing labor agreement
Review and validation of laboratory data
Performing Test Failure and Out of Specification Investigations
Maintaining department facilities, equipment, and inventory with minimal disruption to operations
Maintaining a working knowledge of environmental and GMP requirements and procedures
Maintaining high standards of security, housekeeping, safety, and environmental stewardship
