Typhoid is the another name of the enteric fever.
It is basically characterized by the:
1. Insidious fever
2. A typical course of temperature
3. Marked abdominal symptoms.
Pathology
It generally occurs due to the accumulation of toxic waste and other putrifying materials in the intestines.

Enteric fever as the word suggests is a serious infection marked by intestinal (enteric) inflammation and ulceration generally caused by Salmonella ingested with food or water.
Some drugs are Cotrimaxazole, Chloramphinicol, Ciprofloxacin etc.
