CONSTITUENTS:The active constituents of quassia wood are amaroid compounds like quassin, neoquassin, isoquassin and 18 hydroxy quassin.
USES:
It is used as bitter tonic
It is given in enema in the form of infusion to expel threadworms.
Infusion is also used as lotion for pediculosis.
Quassia possesses insecticidal properties.
Its preparations are used to denature alcohol.
