Calcium is one the most important element of our body. Nearly one kilogram calcium is found in a normal adult . Calcium has the important role in the bones and also acts as messenger for hormones. The reference value for calcium in plasma is 2.2 to 2.8 mmol/L or 8.4 to 10.5 mg/dl.
