Area Account Manager-WYETH-USA-San Diego, CA
The key focus of the Area Account Manager (AAM) position is to increase the prescribing of Wyeth products within specific hospital accounts and in the practices associated with the accounts. This is done by getting Wyeth products positioned favorably on the formulary and by selling the value of Wyeth and Wyeth products to physicians, pharmacy directors, and residents. May call on both community based and academic hospitals. The incumbent must strictly abide by all Wyeth policies, Wyeth Code of Conduct and government regulations.
Job Responsibilities
*Possess and actively maintain knowledge of all job-relevant product and industry information at a level that permits effective interaction with customers and internal Wyeth peers, managers, and partners.
*Consistently updates Area and Zone personnel on evolving market and competitive product data and how they impact Wyeth products.
*Remains current in regard to published clinical studies in peer-reviewed medical journals.
