Hundreds of project works are being carried out in various pharmacy colleges in India and they are all presented in various conferences and published in journals with pride. I am happy at it and congratulate the students and teaching fraternity for their dedicated exercise. The joy becomes short lived when the student passes out and is unable to get a position that could enthuse and motivate him to do further work on the project. This makes the project a subjective job like a study curriculum with no objective and vision , which is sad. This is happening because most of the projects are lab based and literature based, which facility may not be available beyond their college life. Even when available, the job description may not suite to support further studies. On the other hand, if a project is taken with social orientation and activity with a social objective, the students would be able to pursue the activity even after college life as the society offers more and more issues and avenues to address. thank you
