Homeopathy can work for pets too

Humans are not the only ones who can benefit from the natural approach of homeopathy. By using homeopathy we can keep our pets healthy and happy as well.

The approach taken by homeopathy in treating animals is no different from that taken in treating humans. Homeopathy for animals or Veterinary Homeopathy has been around for about 190 years. It has shown positive results when used to treat a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, horses, cattle, birds and fish thus including pets, farm animals and wild animals.

In 1831, it was suggested by Dr Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homeopathy that homeopathy can be used as preventive medicine to prevent the Asiatic cholera from spreading. Homeopaths in his era put this idea to the test and using remedies as preventive measures this idea was proven highly effective and successful.

In the modern times, more and more new viruses, diseases and epidemics are becoming prevalent mainly due to interventions of humans in nature. Scientists and medical researchers are working day and night to find ways to combat these diseases and to find vaccinations to viruses which keep on changing their forms.

In this blog post, I hope to underscore the importance of meditation over medication, by taking recourse to a few personal experiences and anecdotes. For most of us, medicines are a force of habit. Even if you know a health problem can go away untreated, we run to the nearest clinic and get ourselves checked routinely. A common cold or cough magically transforms into symptoms of swine flu. A mild fever and we begin cursing the mosquitoes around us. Isn't this true in almost every household?

Thanks to Shiva for a good opening topic for 2012. I wish you are not a smoker or at least a ex-smoker now! Cigarette is one such product that does more harm when used in the right way! Cigarette is the only product on the market that is perhaps exempted from disclosing the contents. There are no quality parameters which you can use to cross check the quality.

We encounter two distinct toxicity cases in the hospital: Toxicity due to drugs & Toxicity due to poisons Many a time these two though are generally looked upon as alike superficially the practitioners and academicians need to treat them differently. The picture perhaps would be clear if I put it as: 'Toxic effect of a poison' & 'Toxic effect of a drug'
