DRUGS IN SPORT
Submitted by SUPRIYA VAVILAPALLI on Thu, 09/10/2009 - 14:16DRUGS AND SPORT:
When you exercise, your nervous system is naturally aroused. Your stimulated nervous system boosts production of hormones, including adrenaline (epinephrine). These hormones increase the amount of blood your heart pumps, resulting in more blood for muscles and a release of sugar (glucose) from the liver and of fatty acids from body fat to serve as fuel for the muscles.

MY MOTHER MY BEST FRIEND
Submitted by SUPRIYA VAVILAPALLI on Tue, 07/07/2009 - 15:36For My Mother, My Friend
I don't think I ever told you,
how much I appreciate the things you do.
You have been there when I cried,
and always known when I've lied.
You taught me how to read and sing,
and punished me when I did the wrong thing.
You were there to tell me goodnight,
and always knew how to make things all right.
I look up to you, Mom,
and I love you very much.
