Ayurvedic Pharm courses: Should they be supported?

Some universities have started B Pharm (Ayu) & M Pharm (Ayu). These are being said to be the requirements of the industry. Although some of them are not approved by UGC or AICTE they are getting good support from national and international students.

Nutrition is the provision, to cells and organisms, of the materials necessary, in the form of food to support life. Whereas preventive medicine is the part of medicine useful for preventing disease rather than curing it. Many common health problems can be prevented or alleviated with good nutrition.

Whenever you wish to take admission in specific college try to visit the actual campus rather than just discussing on phone and getting details from website.

Before you take admission
Submitted by Lakshya Untwal on Mon, 06/09/2008 - 11:43Dear Friends, Now as the 12th results are declared and some of the newbies will be very keen to take admission in the Pharmacy field, but I would like to add a word of caution which may prevent them from entering in a wrong place.
Before you take admission in a college you need to see some details like those given below, do not hesitate to ask for those documents if they provide, as it will be under right to information.
1. Is the college approved by competent authority like AICTE, UGC, State government or Central government. (You can get info from the website of the concerned governing body)
2. Is the college affiliated to a valid and existing University.
3. Is the staff sufficient and well qualified, and is the staff sufficient as per the norms.
4. Does the college provide all the facilities mentioned in brouchre? And is there any charge for the different facilities.

Some of the technologies are currently available, while others are under development and may be useful in years or decades, if at all.

Nanomedicine research is being funded by government sources, such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and by companies in various sectors, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices. Because of the focused and shorter term development horizon of commercial applications, nanomedicine research is more easily characterized in these areas.
