Mr. Avinash. R. Tekade, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics & Quality Assurance, R. C. Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Shirpur, presented research paper in the international conference at Pinang, Malaysia during 10-13 June, 2009. The title of his research paper was “Solubility Enhancement of Atorvastatin Calcium by Novel Natural Polymer Using Solid Dispersion Technique”. He thanks Principal, Vice-Principal and Management of R. C. Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Shirpur, for providing financial assistance to attend and present finding of his research in this international conference which was organized by Asian Association of Schools of Pharmacy and Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society. During his 11 years of teaching experience Mr. Tekade has taught various subjects to UG and PG students of Pharmacy. So far he has supervised 15 M. Pharm dissertations and presently supervising 6 dissertations. He is also working on AICTE sponsored project for which he has received research grants of Rs. 7.5 lakhs. His area of interest is pulsatile drug delivery system and solubility enhancement of poorly water soluble drugs. To his credit there are 6 international publications in high impact journal and 25 publications in national peer reviewed journals. He has been worked as an examiner as well as paper setter for B. Pharm and M. Pharm examination in various universities. He has delivered guest lectures on optimization techniques in formulation development and on general topics like personality development. In the capacity of Assistant Coordinator, he has organized successfully Two Day AICTE sponsored national seminar on Current Trends in Novel Drug Delivery System at R.C.Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Shirpur. He is a life member of APTI, Maharashtra branch and Alumni of Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Wardha and BITS PILANI, Rajasthan. He is registered for Ph.D. in 2007 with North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon under the guidance of Prof. S. G. Gattani, Vice-Principal and Head, Department of Pharmaceutics & Quality Assurance, R.C.Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Shirpur, Maharashtra.
