Fresher’s Party-2009 & Inauguration of DST funded Lab. (Cost 16.5 lakh) at College of pharmacy, Bela

Under graduate (UG) and Post graduate (PG) students of ASBASJSM College of Pharmacy, Bela celebrated fresher’s party -2009 on 30th of October at college campus along with inauguration of DST funded Drug design and Discovery Lab. The function was got off to start by chief guest Dr.N.P Singh (Dean Academics P.T.U Jallandhar) and guest of honour Capt. M.P. Singh, Chairman Pharmacy Committee ASBASJSM.

Director Dr. G. D. Gupta welcomed the guest and newly admitted students in B.Pharm & M. Pharm. He also highlighted on the achievements of Institution during the session. Sardar S. S. Longia (Secretary, MC) retired deputy director praised the overall development of academic, scientific and research activities of the institution.

Capt. M.P. Singh also welcomed the chief guest and discussed prospects of pharmacy at abroad. Chief guest Dr.N.P Singh praised the function and advancement of infrastructure and research activity.

Freshers started with lightening of lamp followed by ‘Ganesh Vandana’ and “Sabad”. Programmme begun with a beautiful entertaining cultural events comprising of dances, melody songs, skits and humours choreography. _Mr.Gurpreet Singh &_Ms.Rupinder Kaur of B.Pharm_and Mr.Yadwinder Singh &_Ms.Money Mehta of M. Pharm. were selected by a panel of judges and crowned Mr. and Miss Fresher 2009. Chief Guest presented certificates and momentos to all topper students of B.Pharm & M. Pharm.

A book “Modern Dispensing in Pharmacy” written by Dr. G. D. Gupta and Prof. N. K. Jain was also released on the same day.

In the end of the cultural event Director Dr. G. D. Gupta gave a vote of thanks to the gathering for excellent organization.
