The winner of Pasteur-Weizmann/Servier International Award 2009 will be revealed on Thursday November 26th 2009 at 12 noon, at the “Maison de la Chimie” in Paris.
The theme of the International Pasteur-Weizmann/Servier Award for 2009 is the neuropsychology of memory.
This international prize of 150 000 euros is one of the most important in the world. Every three years, the award is attributed to a scientist or a research team having made a major contribution to a biomedical discovery in a potential therapeutic domain. The aim of the prize is to promote and encourage fundamental research, especially the transition from lab research to medical therapy (bench to bedside).
MEMORY : the theme of the VIIth symposium held by the “Institut Servier”
During this symposium, the most important French specialists in neuropsychology will treat the following topics: memory and future, different types of memory, organization of memory, memory’s images, selective memory and loss of memory, trauma and memory, memory and Alzheimer’s disease… Memory : a prodigious research subject.
