At Merck's Safety Assessment department we are pursuing new and innovative methods of drug discovery and development. As a part of these efforts we are designing comprehensive studies and adopting innovative solutions to investigate mechanisms of toxicologic pathology to better evaluate drug development candidates. We are seeking a Veterinary Clinical Pathologist (Research Fellow) who is interested in joining a growing department to design preclinical toxicity studies on novel drug candidates, develop novel biomarkers, and interpret clinical pathology data to assess potential human risk. In addition, opportunities exist to lead and actively participate in the drug discovery and development process as Compound Manager for therapeutic programs.
