The Diploma in Pharmacy program is popularly known as D Pharm in India.

D.Pharmacy is a two years course with main goal is to educate and train the students for practicing pharmacy. This is the minimum qualification to get registered as a pharmacist in India.

B.Pharmacy means Bachelor of Pharmacy, a professional degree course (undergraduate pharmacy program) in India.

The Bachelor of Pharmacy degree previously offered in USA but now superseded by the PharmD degree and in Canada it is called as the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.

Pharm.D
Doctor of Pharmacy known as Pharm.D is a 6 years program during which 5 years is academic session and final year is completely bound to internship in hospital.

Eligibility:
(1) 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology.

(2) A pass in D.Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
