Hello eswar,
Thankyou very much for your valuable information. Till now i don't know about this news. now i am aware of this. From 2010 onwards how can B.pharm students get into masters in pharmacy?
Dear Kalpana
Happy to know that now U r aware of the news..
All are awaiting for that solution only....
Only thing is... We have to wait for the benefitable proosals of our decision makers...
eswar :-)
Hai sir,
Hai sir,
Thank you for your valuable information. I think it(information) is very valuable for many students. Please keep updating such useful information for our sake. And GOOD JOB.
Dear Satish...
Thank you for your comment...
eswar :-)
Future?
Oh! thats a sad news to know...Than what would be the future for B.Pharm graduates if they want to study for masters in India?
Dear Gupta...
Yes, that is what everoyne is thinking off....
Ofcourse there may be framing of an alternative common national wide entrance test, but who will take that charge, who will step forward to consider students feelings ... All are in Blank stage...
eswar :-)
Thanks for informing
Im really amazed to see this news but naturally all the students who aspired to pursue their masters after B pharm must had get shocked after listening this news.Anyways I hope government must make a step forward to find any other way to help funding & other privilages equivalent to GATE for the students......
Dear adi..
Our hope is - Government or atleast concerned authorities if awake shortly and mention their proposal, students will be tense free...
eswar :-)
What is the alternative?
This is quite disturbing. I am sure before coming to this decision the decision makers would NOT have given it a thought to identify an alternative. This development would certainly discourage students who look ahead for pursuing their Master's degree.
Dear Janodia..
Development in any process or other is required...But not in such a discouraging manner (as you told). U r absolutely right, It's really a bad thing causing blockade of students minds...
eswar :-)
Dear Eswar thank you for
Dear Eswar thank you for informing recent news regarding gate 2010 and this will use full for many students to get aware about gate 2010
Dear Praveen...
My intention is also the same.. Students should be aware of this and plan properly...
eswar :-)
It will create havoc
Dear Eswar, I too was surprised to read this on their website, thanks for informing all. This will create panic & havoc in the minds of students.
Another thing to note is the validity is also one year instead of two years which means if you want to apply for a course you need to appear for GATE again & again.
I think this might be a step towards eliminating pharmacy & making it independent. There are news that there is going to be a separate Department of Pharmaceutical Technology or Pharmacy just like DBT & DST, which may take over the load of conducting such examinations & also may act as central body to provide funding for pharmacy institutes & students.
Let's hope that something positive comes out of it & students do not suffer from such decisions.
Expecting the same...
Dear Lucky,
As you mentioned all are expecting the same and if it happens Pharmacy Profession will look gain a new honour...
And only thing is whatever may be the decision, if it was proosed earlier, students will be convienced otherwise they are totally at dilema and depression.
Few of my GATE students are yet to cry b'coz of this shocking news, as about 70% of my GATE students are from 3rd year and they are unable to use this 2009 GATE exam and there is no exam at all in 2010, that is the worst situation of present 3rd years. Atleast for this time if validity is 2 years, then there may be balance among the situations...
Ofcourse we have to obey the changes happening, by feeling that whatever happens is for our sake..
Let us hope and expect positive response soon...
Wait and See....

Re: Expecting the same...
Dear Eswar, I also felt the problem you should have faced when you came to know about this issue. And when you are a teacher you care for so many students & if anything is going to affect their career then you are deeply moved. I think this is what shows that you are not only a good teacher but also a good human.
Yes I too agree that the information regarding the changes in the exam, validity & other details must have been cleared from last time only so that there might have been some good steps to solve the problem till now. Better late than never, let us start a campaign to get things going in proper way, may it help students & solve their problem.
Better Late than Never...
Dear Lucky,
If all the students take this as positive feel, then we will be happy to support them....
