My Institute...Part I
My institute, Sinhgad Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (S.I.P.S.), located on the lap of beautiful mountains of Lonavala, had started offering its degree course in B.Pharm since 2004. It is under the administration of Sinhgad Technical Education Society (S.T.E.S) headed by the Hon. Founder President, Prof. M. N. Navale.
The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), recognised by Government of Maharashtra and affiliated to the University of Pune. It has an intake capacity of 60 students per year.
Since, Sinhgad Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (S.I.P.S) is located within the campus of Sinhgad Technical Education Society (S.T.E.S), I would like to describe few facts and details about the campus in the current blog.
Location of the Campus
S.T.E.S. is situated nearly 5 km away from Lonavala Railway Station (Central Railways,India) amongst the slope of mountain range overlooking beautiful valleys of Lonavala. It has the Mumbai-Pune expressway bypassing the campus to its right side (when headed towards Pune). Few very beautiful picture of Mumbai-Pune Expressway as well as my campus' distance-view pictures are given below.

The campus, as quite evident from the picture and also from data (being situated in lonavala), is filled with greenery owing to its heavy rainfall and downpour. A variety of vegetation is spread across the campus giving its proof of wide diversity in Plant Kingdom. One can sense the aesthetic feeling being in the campus during the rainy season seeing the greenery around.
My Institute is located on the lowermost level (by height) in the campus. It has a Botanical Garden of Medicinal Plants adjoining it on its back. One can see the rising and falling levels of road around the college entrance.
This was a very brief picture of my college and campus. I would share more facts and picturized ideas about them both in my next blog; and this time there would be an addition of its inside view. Iam sure you would find them very
interesting and amazing...
