My SRFP Guide...

I was really desperate to present this blog in front of all and I think today I finally got the bright chance to show the world how lucky Iam to be a student of Dr. Amit Misra, who is a scientist at Central Drug Research Institute (C.D.R.I), Lucknow...

I became a student of Dr. Amit Misra through Jawaharlal Nehru Centre of Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) which selected me among 120 students around India for SRFP (Summer Research Fellowship Programme) for 2 months with scholarship and Travel Allowance. I was selected in 2007 and was given the chance under prestigious Dr. Amit Misra...In 2008, I was again selected among 15 students of those 120's of last year's as an opportunity to continue the last year's work...Again I was given 2nd chance under honourable Dr. Amit Misra...

Primarily, the main intention of this blog is to express my feeling about the luck I inculcated in getting him as my SRFP guide... Basically, what I came to know about him is that "he is simply genious and amazing". He is so friendly with his students that every student pursuing Ph.D under him is considered a friend by him instead of a student...He is a really jovial kind of person and once again, he is a person with a mind that resides profound thoughts. Regarding research, he frames fantastic research proposals and that too with such an ease!

All in all, what I have learnt from him in these 4 months is that think, frame new ideas, thinking has no barrage, research has no ending, it requires patience, think profoundly and be completely abstruse regarding thoughts and last but not the least; be happy and jovial inspite of having heavy burden of work and tension...

Quite impressed

It is obvious after reading this blog that you are highly impressed by Dr.Misra.But rather I would like to advice you to follow whatever he asks you to do and I hope you would try to adapt many things in your life which you have learned from him.......

I would follow you

Thanks addi for the wonderful suggestion...I would follow you and your valuable advice...Having bein a student under him, one would be compelled to learn things from him even if he is reluctant to do so...Its because of his impressive nature and knowledgable mind...I would also request you to give more suggestions to me whenever time and situation demands...

Proud to be your friend
