How brain works

It's one of most repeatedly asked question by many
neuroscientists...........

So Here, I would like to discuss one more TED talk presentation on the
question how brain works and how to build a brain in a super
computing...........

Henry Markram - director of Blue Brain and a neuroscientist....who work
to b Build a brain in super computing.....

His whole presentation is related to building of detailed, realistic,
computer model of the human brain........

He started his presentation by giving the idea about blue brain group
objects....which is building of human brain model in computing technology, and
he explains the achievement of rodent brain model by his group.

He explains the reason behind doing this work........

To understand human brain (key step in evolution)

To develop a working model for drug discovery process (avoid animal
experiments/ how long we can stick with animal experiments)

To treat mental (neurological) disorders by Non empirical (realistic)
approach

These are the main facts to build a brain model through which we can do
real time analysis.

He focused on one brain theory - theory of universe.....(philosophically
debatable) where the neurons are highly complex network through which information
is transformed and there is a symphony is created in the complex neural
network....so the symphony is species specific.........

The above mentioned fact is all about the happening in the brain and
neuron connections.....................

He explains with one example anaesthetic is introducing a noise in the
brain so it leads to confusion and not able to percept or feel the
pain............

Does it make sense.........he relates this with human
perception.........once there is a perception then there is a decision, without
decision we cannot see, we cannot think, we cannot feel.

What makes the perception...is it neocortex.....he explains the same
principle explained by Jeff Hawkins who works as neocortex as memory framework.

Henry also explains the neocortex as fundamental
unit which makes the symphony inside the brain......So how to build this
neocortex columns in computing technology..........So once he neocortex columns
are build then there is a more possibility of simulating the symphony to
understand the brain function.....

The pattern of neocortex each and every one is
different and the connection is very specifc.....So with a help of IBM technology
they have developed a neuron pattern and tried to understand the complex
connectivity and analysed the electrical firing happening in the neocortex
columns.....and they understood that there is a existence of electrical patterns...so
understanding this electrical object that holds the whole information about
whatever stimulated it......and further step is to take these brain coordinates
and projecting them into the perceptual space...we can get into the reality
that is created by this machine...........

He concludes his presentation by next 10 years they
can send a hologram to talk across species..............

My view

There is a diverse connections are existing inside
each brain and technology soon going to explore all the connections and
understand the human perception in reality........this technology will make
human to understand the higher dimensions of human brain
