Get Rid of Sore Throat Using Simple Homely Mode…
No matter where you live whether you have 4 seasons, winter, spring, autumn, summer or only 2 seasons, rainy and dry, mostly during the seasonal changing and specifically during the coldest temperature drops, we found many people often get flu, coughs and common colds, Which may start with Sore throat or some people generally suffer with sore throat in persistent manner.
And it is not exaggeration to say that on an average each individual will suffer from this throat sore once in a year. So let’s learn the causes of sore throat and some very simple and homely techniques to get rid off it…What is sore throat ?
A throat infection is discomfort, pain, or scratchiness in the throat due to any infectious condition. A sore throat often makes it painful to swallow in cases of throat infection. Sore throats are common. Most of the time soreness is worse in the morning and improves as the day progresses.
What causes a sore throat?
A sore throat can have many causes including:
Like colds, the vast majority of sore throats are caused by viral infections. This means most sore throats will NOT respond to antibiotics. Many people have a mild sore throat at the beginning of every cold. When the nose or sinuses become infected, drainage can run down the back of the throat and irritate it, especially at night. Or, the throat itself can be infected. Common viruses, and even the viruses that cause mononucleosis (mono) and the flu, can cause a sore throat. Some viruses can also produce blisters in the mouth and throat ("aphthous stomatitis"). # Breathing through the mouth can produce throat dryness and soreness.
# Sinus drainage (post nasal drip) may cause a sore throat.
# A sore throat can also be caused by bacteria. The two most common bacteria to cause a sore throat are Streptococcus (which causes strep throat) and Arcanobacterium haemolyticum. Arcanobacterium causes sore throats mainly in young adults and is sometimes associated with a fine red rash.
# Sore throat appearing after treatment with antibiotics, chemotherapy, or other immune-compromising medications may be due to Candida, commonly known as "thrush."
# A sore throat can also results from tonsils in the throat and imflamation.
# A sore throat lasting for more than two weeks can be a sign of a serious illness, such as throat cancer or AIDS.
What is strep throat and why is it different?
Strep throat is caused by Streptococcus bacteria, which are the same bacteria that causes rheumatic fever. Only 5%-10% of adult sore throats are caused by strep, whereas about 15%-40% of sore throats in children are related to strep. For this reason, many health care professionals will recommend a "rapid Strep" test for a patient with a sore throat. The "rapid Strep" test can usually be done in the office and takes 15-20 minutes. If the result is negative, it is often followed with a strep culture. If either of these is positive, the sore throat is generally treated with penicillin or another antibiotic.
A major objective of treating strep throat is to prevent the development of rheumatic fever, a serious illness that can cause joint pain and heart valve damage. However, antibiotics do not necessarily speed the healing of the sore throat itself, and antibiotics are of no help for a sore throat unless it is caused by strep. Another strep- related illness, scarlet fever, can cause a rash, but will not cause heart injury or joint pain.
Here I am giving some simple techniques to get rid off this sore throat which are natural, to guard yourself and your family…
The most important thing is always to drink warm water and avoid drink cold or with ice. It would be the best thing to avoid any cold food too.
* Have lots of liquids like tea, soups, etc, daily. This will replace important fluids lost during the cold and help flush out impurities.
* Enjoy yourself with a hot chicken soup and add ginger plus onions. Another alternative is, make hot chicken soup with lots of garlic. Have when hot. It will help unclog your nasal passage.
* Garlic soup is an old remedy to reduce the severity of a cold, and should be taken once daily. The soup can be prepared by boiling three or four cloves of chopped garlic in a cup of water. Garlic contains antiseptic and antispasmodic properties, besides several other medicinal virtues.
* Hot teas with ginger or chamomile are also great to treat your cold. Do not forget to combine them with honey instead of sugar.
* Ginger tea, prepared by adding a few pieces of ginger into boiled water before adding the tea leaves, is also an effective remedy for colds and for fevers resulting from cold. It may be taken twice daily.
About ten grams of ginger should be cut into small pieces and boiled in a cup of water. It should then be strained and half a teaspoon of honey added to it. This decoction should be drunk when hot.
* One tablespoon luke warm of honey with 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder daily for 3 days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold and clear the sinuses.
* One lemon should be diluted in a glass of warm water, and a teaspoon of honey should be added to it. This should be taken once or twice daily.
* Five drops of garlic oil combined with a teaspoon of onion juice, and diluted in a cup of water, should be drunk two to three times a day.
* Half a teaspoon of fresh turmeric powder mixed in 30 ml of warm milk, and taken once or twice daily, is a useful prescription for these conditions. Turmeric powder should be put into a hot ladle. Milk should then be poured in it and boiled over a slow fire. This mixture should then be drunk by the patient.
As I mentioned earlier soar throat is associated with cold , so I am giving some more natural treatment tips to deal with it too.
"Common Cold and Stuffy Nose Treatment"
+ Blow your nose often, rather than sniffing back the mucous.
+ In case of a running cold, smoke from the burning turmeric should be inhaled. It will increase the discharge from the nose and provide quick relief.
+ Put 2-3 drops of salt water in your nose in the morning and before going to bed. Salt keeps the nasal passage moist; the saline solution also helps thin the mucous so you can get rid of it at regular intervals.
+ Inhale turmeric fumes, for this tie some turmeric in a clean cloth and light stuffy nose.
+ Boil some water and allow it to cool, now add ¼ teaspoon table salt to it. Put 2 to 3 drops of this solution in your both the nostrils before meals and going to bed.
+ Warm mustard oil to which you have added 4-5 cloves of chopped garlic. Apply this on your nose, chest and back just as you would a bottle of Vicks. Cover up and sleep.
+ Boil half a bowl of water, add few drops of eucalyptus oil and inhale the steam.
+ Soak your feet in warm water, it will help relieve any headaches or nasal congestion you get during your cold.
When should I seek medical care for a sore throat?
Seek medical care
1 If you have been in contact with someone with strep throat and you have a sore throat, it is reasonable to have a strep test done.
2 If your sore throat is associated with a fever, swollen "glands" (lymph nodes), or white patches on the back of your throat.
3 If your sore throat persists for more than a week.
So hope this information will help you stay healthy, but always remember Our overall health is determined by the immune system whether it is working properly or not will have the huge impact on how you survive in every kind of conditions. Therefore any intake into your body, either can make you healthy in the long run, or deteriorate your physical strength.

Will it be wise to use home
Will it be wise to use home remedies for sore throat as this can be caused by bacterial infection"strep throat" and can have complication...
in this respect advising the sole utilization of home remedies ....i think i will rethink twice before utilising a home remedy...when allopathic treatment are available....

yes natural way takes long but its the best...
Dear Faria zarrin,
I appreciate you openess, but one need to recollect that Herbs are of medicinal values and used by people for more than thousands of years. In this modern world, the usage of herbs were limited due to the growth of pharmaceutical industry and technological advancement in medical field.
Side effects are another consideration. Most every drug you can think of comes with side effects. While not all herbs and natural producta are side effect free, some are very well tolerated.
For example,
chamomile is an herb which usually has zero side effects in most individuals. It is used to relax both the nerves and the digestive system. Peppermint is another commonly used, extremely safe herb which is ideal for soothing upset stomachs and reducing nausea.
Ginger is also ideal for stomach maladies, and is so safe that it is recommended for most pregnant women suffering from morning sickness.
so my conclusion is, for a quick healing of one disease you need to allow the roots of other disease using allopathic treament.
To be practical i would suggest atleast for some small diseases like this we need to use natural remedies.
