Consumers' Average Prescription Drug Copay Drops as Generic Drug Use Grows

Last year marked the first time in at least five years that consumers paid less, on average, in their prescription drug copay, according to the 2007 Drug Trend Report released by pharmacy benefit manager Express Scripts. The average copay dropped 25 cents to $13.20 even as the average total cost of a prescription rose from $55.01 to $55.93. Read more

Pfizer, Avant ink $440M cancer vax deal

Avant Immunotherapeutics is pocketing a $40 million upfront fee and a $10 million equity stake from Pfizer in exchange for the worldwide rights to Avant's experimental brain cancer vaccine. Celgene's lung cancer drug granted European orphan drug status

Celgene International Sarl has announced that amrubicin hydrochloride has been designated as an orphan medicinal product by the European Commission for the treatment of small cell lung cancer following the favorable opinion of the European Medicines Agency's Committee for orphan medicinal products.

he is more concerned about Indian pharma students external knowledge. I sincerely don't agree with him, especially after going through all you guys talented posts .

Since all of your blogs are getting popular in pharma student community , i think every one should bring news items through your blog post. We should have balance on both news and scientific information

Focus is really needed

Thanks for your inspiring comment. I know many of the teachers and industry people are concerned about the knowledge superiority of Indian students. But with the emergence of sources like internet the information collection has become more and more simple and superior.
I'll definitely try to put some interesting blogs which all should be beneficial to all.

Thank you Praseen, I know it’s good when you see something that’s new and also more if it helps you. I am just trying to blog in a way so that all of us can get some more benefit out of it.
