most OTC substances produced

most OTC substances produced in the USA are

sunscreens, anti-microbial and anti-fungal products, external and internal analgesics such as lidocaine and aspirin, psoriasis and eczema topical treatments, anti-dandruff shampoos containing coal tar, and other topical products with a therapeutic effect.
these are produced in regulation with FDA.

Other categories also

Yeah as you mentioned these are included in OTC medicines, but in INDIA other categories like pain killers, cough & cold medicines, Antipyretics etc are also included.

Yeah generally it is there, but it varies from medicines to medicine, in some cases it is based on API's t90% study.

Antihistaminic drugs

Few drugs that were used as antihistaminic drugs like pseudoephidrine, used in cough syrup shifted from prescribed to OTC over here, but in US vice versa is the case.
