Yes it is!!!!

But the revenue earned by pharma comapnies are more than IT comapnies...even though dont know..why they r doing like that..JOB satisfaction is far beeter in IT as compare to typical pharma inductry where we treated judt like labourers...I already worked in top pharma comapanies.. and left them because i was not satisfied with my job!!!

MAY I SHARE A JOKE OVER HERE

I USE TO WORK AS A MEDICAL REPRESENTATIVE FOR A REPUTED PHARMA ORG........ ONE DAY A MEETING HELD BCOSE NEW COLLEGUES HAVE JOINED.......AMONG THOSE NEW CANDIDATES ONE LADY WAS THERE, WHO WAS HAVING EXPERIENCE OF 2 YRS AS QA EXECUTIVE IN A REPUTED ORGANISATION................................I ASKED HER Y SHE LEFT N CAME INTO SALES & MARKETING, WHEREAS THE JOB IN THE INDUSTRY IS MUCH BETTER THAN OUTSIDE......BCOSE U WORK IN A/C ENVIRONMENT BY SITTING ONLY......................SHE REMAINED QUITE......................I SAID WAT HAPPEND......SALARY WAS BAD OR WAT........SHE SAID YEAH, I WAS EARNING ONLY 6500 PM AND AFTER DEDUCTION ITS ABT 5600 PM, BEING A BPHARM VERY VERY LESS TO SURVIVE, EVEN BSC ALSO EARNS D SAME, AND MY MANAGER WAS EARNING A TOTAL OF 9000 PM AFTER 5 YRS OF EXP.................AND AFTER COMING INTO MARKETING I UNDERSTUD WER D DAMN MONEY GOES.....................

Dear sho..

i know these things..but this is not the answer of my question..iam asking even the pharma companies r earning good revenue..they r not paying good for freshers as well as experienced ones..while it is not so in IT..or other engineering branches...some of frds r even not getting 6000per month..what the hell is this..they r really hardworking guys..and very much frustrated..even some who r exp one they have not reached upto good income to sustain their life in good manner...and u r saying that ur principle getting 3.00 per month income..but c the experience he have!!!!...but in IT having exp of 4 to 5 years and good grasp on ur work u can earn more of lacs!!!!!...any ways thanku..for reply....

Hi sho But let me share one thing Pharmacy is a very tough subject at the same time engineering is not that tough and at the end they are earning several times more than us we will definitely have that pain advising our friends and family members may give self satisfaction but not money right what do you say??

ya i do accept...............pharmacy is tough......bcose of mixed nature of its curriculum ie. technical as well as clinical.............and also its creating professionals wid well knwn phrase "jacks of all but masters of none"..................... and even i very well knw...................many 1 take pharmacy course by chance not by choice...............................but still i must say we all have a respected position in the society bcose engineering colleges are growing up drastically but not the pharmacy colleges as like engineering....................nowadays after 12th science nobody goes 4 plane bsc degree course rather they take bsc in microbio, biotech, computer science, it, tech, electronics, etc.......................nowadays bcom and ba courses are made with professional junk of science and buisness.....................just think if btech or BE is not available 4 job then industry have professionals lyk bsc it or comp science..................similarly in our profession too..............and as being in pharmacy profession........we cannot predict the oppurtunities of other field....................rather we shud find oppurtunities in our field............n trust me many r really happy in our field.................................

Pharmacy Vs Engineering

This is unfortunately true. Theeng syllabus gets updated very fast where as our syllabus stagnates at least for 10 years and even when updated will not cover the full updated technology and is delivered by persons who are not exposed to the updated issues. Therefore we need a strong comprehensive combo pack of academia and industry and hospital cum clinical pharmacy to frame and teach pharmacy

REGRETTING?

Life is such. you have to move ahead by making way for yourself if you want to prosper. You will stagnate if you stick on to the path made by others. Dont have to regret with what you have studied. A good aptitude, self drive, pro-active nature and dedication and good communication skill will definitely take you to new heights. Good wishes

Respected sir here i am not

Respected sir here i am not regretting for joining in this profession. this is an excellent profession and unfortunately this profession is not recognized in India. This is what I really feel about. For most of the Indians Pharmacist is nothing but a medical shop owner and compounder. this has to change.
