Pharm.D. Admissions started
Dear Eswar, You have given really good news. The long wait for the students who wanted to go for PharmD seems to be over. But why is it so that the admissions are not centralized, the private colleges may demand heavy fees & even donations. I think that there should be some proper channelization for the admission to this course.

Dear Gupta...
Your doubt is half-way correct.
Actually Visveswarapura Inst. of Pharm. Sciences (VIPS), Bangalore is offering Pharm.D. This college is a body of KIMS established under the same management.
For details visit www.vips.edu.in and http://www.kimsbangalore.edu.in/vsabout.html
For other colleges offering Pharm D plz visit www.pharmainfo.net/pharmacyschools

Pharm D
It is a good news that Pharm D programme is started in Andhra Pradesh.
Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences have already started Pharm D and Pharm D Post Baccalaureat Programmes from September 2008.
But what i was told by one of my colleagues that in Andhra Pradesh, the advertorial in newspaper misguides the students by highlighting Pharm D programme that gives one a degree of a "Doctor" which is highly misleading. I personally haven't seen the advertisement so i may be wrong. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Even i have heard the same...
Even i have the same doubt as you have..Many of my friends have said me that the Pharm.D student would be tagged with the degree 'doctor'... But at the same time, I have heard the reverse from many... Iam really confused for the same reason...

Dear Manthan
I came to know that Pharm.D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) persons will get the honour "Dr." and it is not equivalent to the Ph.D. (Doctorate of Philosophy).
Pharm.D honour is just like the M.B.B.S honour.
As you all are specific about that factor, Myself once again enquire about that and give U exact clarification.
Thanks for your comment.
