- Assist management in the evaluation of risks both at Corporate and local level.
- Plan and perform IT audits and integrated business process audits for all areas within GSK.
- Assess IT and integrated processes in order to provide management with an evaluation of internal controls.
- Assess management’s level of compliance with established policies, procedures and standards, as well as the adequacy of internal controls within IT and operational processes.
- Produce quality recommendations related to internal controls, IT and integrated business processes.
- Communicate and defend results of audit findings via presentation to auditee senior management.
- Recommend improvements to internal controls and IT processes.
- Proactively follow up to ensure that agreed actions to recommended internal control improvements have been implemented by appropriate management.

As a member of the Global COMET Core Team, this Process Lead position is responsible for working both independently and as part of a team to coordinate/execute the Production Execution activities including process definition, development and configuration activities for the SAP system/COMET solution set which support the blueprinted processes. The individual will have IT functional expertise within Supply Chain Management with particular in-depth knowledge of manufacturing shop floor planning and execution systems and processes. The individual will work across all phases of the project including Realization, Final Preparation, and Go-Live & Support including support as required for Local Project Prep and Local Blueprinting phases.

Under the direction of the Senior Director, Corporate IT Global Services, the incumbent is responsible for leadership in the development and implementation of IT business solutions to ensure the realization of Global Services business strategies. He/she is responsible for developing and managing the IT Portfolio to enable Global Site Service (GSS) and Global Real Estate Services (GRES). GSS manages the operations of Merck facilities throughout the world and delivers supporting services such as meeting planning, travel and fleet management. GRES manages the planning and optimization of Merck's real estate portfolio.

Under the direction of the Senior Director, Corporate IT Global Services, the incumbent is responsible for leadership in the development and implementation of IT business solutions to ensure the realization of Global Services business strategies. He/she is responsible for developing and managing the Portfolio of business solutions required for the Information Technology and Merck Sigma organizations. These solutions will include capabilities which enable Program and Project Management, IT Service Management, and the establishment of a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) approach to delivering IT Services.

The incumbent is responsible for tasks and less-complex projects related to development, or application, of state-of-the-art processes, equipment, control schemes, and standards, process optimization, qualification of alternate raw materials and components, or transfer of production from development or between commercial sites. Work may include projects and tasks in any or all of the following stages: scope definition, feasibility studies, lab/pilot scale modeling, simulation, cost/benefit analyses, design, specification development, project planning, implementation, and post-implementation monitoring and follow-up. The incumbent will contribute on cross-functional projects and may lead some highly-focused, shorter-term teams, with involvement and coaching from their supervisor. Projects must achieve business, quality, and compliance objectives, and must be executed in a manner that assures full compliance with government regulations and internal company standards and values.

You will be responsible for supporting the development of multiple client strategies into cohesive IT requirements and capabilities and accountable for ensuring a cohesive and up-to-date regional portfolio, developing high quality business cases for initiatives and managing regional metrics for performance and delivery. You will also manage a team of regional Corporate IT staff and be responsible for the team's development and performance.

Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science or related field with 12-15 years relevant experience
Demonstrated success in leading small and large complex global projects
Demonstrated ability to operate in a highly matrix environment
Excellent leadership, people management and communication skills
