This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Corporate IT Delivery Management and has responsibility for managing the delivery and implementation activities to ensure realization of the IT Strategic Initiatives for Global Real Estate Services. The Director for Corporate IT Delivery Management / Global Real Estate Services, the Solutions Partner role in the Merck IT Operating Model, has executive responsibility for the entire Global Real Estate portfolio of IT services provided collectively by Global Services entities. The Solutions Partner interacts closely with the counterpart role on the customer (or demand) side, the Account/Relationship Manager. A key objective of this position is ensuring that Global Real Estate Services Business Areas are able to obtain the IT services needed to support business plans and that those services are provided reliably and at an agreed level of quality and cost. Key responsibilities include: assisting business areas with pre-project strategic planning; facilitating and orchestrating Global Real Estate IT activities in support of pre-project activities; and assuming ultimate accountability for the delivery of IT services of all kinds (including IT projects and Service Level Agreements)
