Influence Of Formulation Factors On In-Vitro Dissolution Of Oxcarbazepine Tablets

The influence of superdisintegrants and method of preparation on dissolution rate of oxcarbazepine was investigated and results were presented here the drug oxcarbazepine belongs to class II category of biopharmaceutical classification system .The tablets formulated with direct compression technique showed better dissolution than wet granulation technique.incorporation of superdisintegrant crosspovidone offered more drug release than the other two super disintegrants sodium starch glycolate, crascormellose .All the formulated tablets satisfied compendial and non-compendial requirements . The dissolution rate followed first order kinetics.

you have used superdisintegrants in your formulation but why you have taken 30-45 min dissolution run time

What is the relationship between hardness and disintegration time? In your work, you got that the hardness of F4 formulation is less than the F5 and F6 formulations and disintegration time for F4 is more than the F6. Can you Justify that?
