Yes, it’s true! Really I am in a wonderland now! My picture in a website...people reading my blogs online…and of course, a cash prize of ten thousand rupees..! I am grateful to pharmainfo.net for giving me such an exciting opportunity. This is the most remarkable incident ever happened to me in my whole life. Seems I am little bit exaggerating the matter..? No. It’s the real fact...

Last February 12th was the starting point for my race with the blogs. It was a cool morning and I was spending some time with my friends in the department just after a lecture. My friend Sushant came to me and told that Manthan sir, our lecturer wanted to see me, along with himself and another friend Abhishek. We didn’t have any clue for what he was calling us. As a joke, I told them we might have to carry some furniture to downstairs as we are three of the robust men of the batch. Manthan sir was sitting infront of his lap top when we entered to his cabin. He just opened one site and showed the web page of skills test 2008 for the pharmacy students and explained us about the contest. February 17th was the last date as Manthan sir mentioned and he enquired whether we were interested in the same. We were ready to do a try which costs nothing.

We came back to the department and passed the message to rest of our mates. Four more people expressed their eagerness to take part in the competition. I was one of the last persons to submit the required articles as it took three nights for me to complete the work. I was searching for a relevant topic from pharma field and selected TRIPS as my optional one. Manthan sir’s notes helped me to a great extent to frame the piece. I had to sit for ‘blog’ too as expertise on that deal was lacking for me. The inspiration and valuable suggestions provided by my friends throughout the preparation are my immortal memories. We gave the articles along with the resumes to Manthan sir on 16th afternoon. Rests of the formalities were done by him only.
Then the things vanished away from my mind as the days went. That Saturday afternoon after a heavy lunch sitting in my room in the hostel, I had a call from Manthan sir to meet him immediately along with Abhishek. We were jumping with joy after knowing that our names came in the last twelve. What else we should do to hear such a dramatic and sizzling news. Still, we should wait for the next few days…Now; we had some spark for optimistic thoughts.

It happened on a hot March 6th…. I was preparing for my last evaluatory seminar of my M.Pharm course to be held in the afternoon. Again, call from Manthan sir….Yes! I am in the final race! Going through the web page I could see my photo along with Manthan sir, my guide with other five fellow participants. Could I believe my eyes?? I rushed to the college... Applause from my teachers, hugs from friends…. I was in seventh heaven..! Unfortunately Abhishek was not there in the last six but selected as a co-participant. I called my father to convey the news and he too was excited. A short while for a father to be proud of his son?

That led to my ‘blog life’! It became a routine of my days to send the blogs to pharmainfo.net. I know the reality came only with the help of Manthan sir; I express my thanks to him through this column. Now, regularly we are sitting together and discussing about the important topics . Of course I am really enjoying the days!
