Origin and History

Ayurveda originated in India long back in pre-vedic period. Rigveda and Atharva-veda (5000 years B.C.), the earliest documented ancient Indian knowledge have references on health and diseases. Ayurved texts like Charak Samhita and Sushruta Samhita were documented about 1000 years B.C.

On every April 7th, we celebrate it as World Health day and on every 31st may celebrate as World No Tobacco Day. But in actual we can count those people on our fingers those who in actually celebrate these days. Today people died due to many types of diseases and mental disorders. As life style changes, day by day people want to take a chance to bit its opponents and step forward.

But due to such tendency people get more and more stress, from which they can't be step out. And so, they turn towards any addiction. Especially towards alcoholism, tobacco consumption.

Herb - Drug Interactions

Most of the population of world has been diverted to ayurvedic formulations for migraines to memory preservation to depression. Side-by-side they are suffering from those diseases that requires the use of the allopathic drugs for controlling conditions associated with some diseases such as to control hyperglycemia in diabetic conditions, to reduce the pain associated with arthritis etc.

Spectroscopic ellipsometry study has appropriate characterization methods which are necessary for the design and analysis of devices made using such materials. In general, ellipsometry is the method of choice for the correct determination of optical constants; it provides polarization degree and phase as well as the amplitude information of the optical response.

Lack of Dissolution protocols for selected dosage forms in USP 21 / NF 19

In the United State of Pharmacopoeia (USP); many of the drug formulations do not have any standard dissolution apparatus for the standardization. So many times manufactures get a chance to supply less drug quantity which is generally stated on the container.


Few of the dosage form are discussed here.

1. Dissolution of the topical dosage forms

Drug releases studies from gels, creams and ointments are found in same criteria. Study of the dosage form required during its development phase and as a routine quality control test for assuring uniformity of the finished products. Such studies provide helpful information about physiological parameters involved in the invivo pre-cutaneous absorption such as diffusion coefficient and the stability of drug in the specific vehicle required.

Health insurance scheme for mentally disordered patients

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment lunched health insurance scheme with the chief guest of The Ministry for Social Justice and Empowerment Meira Kumar. As per her announcement about this policy;

this policy is for patients suffering from mental disorders like autism, cerebral palsy and other mental illnesses.

Dissolution Enhancement of Poorly Soluble Drugs

Due to drug's poor solubility they have few disadvantages like increased dosage, short interval between two subsequent administration, increased side effects and last but not list is its dissolution.
