Mouth Disintegrating Tablet technology

The development of this novel drug delivery system will provide dosage form with conventional mean of taking their medications. Difficulty in swallowing is a common problem found in patient with pediatrics and geriatrics, patients with problem of dysphasia, mentally ill, uncooperative and patients with motion sickness, sudden allergic shocks.

This type of dosage form provides very convenient dosage form. On administration of tablet will instantly disintegrate in mouth and release the drug which will be absorbed by saliva. So it prevent also first pass metabolism and provides better bioavailability.

2.   Durasolv Technology

It is the patented technology of CIMA laboratory. Tablets made by this  technology have main ingredients are drug, fillers and a lubricant. In this type of technology require low amount of active ingredients. It is also packed in blister packing.

3. Flash Dose Technology

By this technology sugar based matrix known as floss which made from combination of excipients either alone or in combination of drugs. Nurofen meltelt, a new form of ibuporfen is based on same technology.

4. Flashtab technology

Laboratory named Prographarm patented this technology in which tablet consists of active ingredients in form of microcrystals. Rest of all procedure is followed in conventional technology.
