When a customer receives a damaged product the problem can be easily solved by visiting the retail outlet. However, if the prescription antibiotic given to a patient has been altered, mishandled, or is not genuine, the consequences could be lethal. Security and safety are two important features desired in pharmaceutical supply chain and achieving the same is a challenging task. The need to secure and authenticate pharmaceutical products has increased tremendously with the emerging counterfeit product market. The motivation to introduce counterfeit pharmaceutical products in the supply chain could be to gain rapid economic benefits or affecting the reputation of strong brand in the pharmaceutical industry.

 

 

 

RFID technology can be used to check counterfeiting attempts. The main purpose of this article is to know the applications of RFID in the Indian pharmaceutical industry. RFID allow manufacturer to provide all the details about the antibiotics which will be further be scanned by stockiest and finally by the retailers. So this procedure provides all those details that are actually provided by the manufacturer.

  

 

 

RFID cost will increase the basic prize of medicament but it will provide the integrity of the same. Thus in the manufacturer of costlier drug of various therapy must use this technology for the better development of transition of drugs. Also RFID is helpful in the Management system for the Biobanks and Garment tracking. As barcode systems fades in Nitrogen at  -196oC in the Biobank system and in the Garment tacking system garment which passes from the various washing steps like pressing upto 100 pounds per square inch and heating upto 400oC. So RFID themselves found very much useful for the Pharmaceutical Industry.
