5. Critical thinking and decision making abilities:

 

The student must examine issues rationally, logically, and coherently; and unfamiliar contexts. The student should be able to

 

a.       Synthesize information in order to draw conclusions.

b.      Provide evidence based support for arguments, recommendation and solutions.

c.       Demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions in a time constrained environment.

d.      Reconcile regulatory and scientific requirements.

 

 

6. Communication skills and abilities:

 

The student must read, write, speak, listen and use data, media, and appropriate technologies to send and respond effectively to communications for varied audiences and purposes. The student should be able to:

 

a.      Present ideas, plans and data in appropriate oral and written formats to succinctly and effectively communication to various audiences.

b.      Accurately document laboratory procedures, protocols and outcomes.

c.       Interact with scientists, engineers and other professionals to achieve positive scientific outcomes.

 

7. Responsible use of professional:

 

Values and ethical principles: the student must demonstrate sensitivity to personal values and ethical principals on professional and social contexts, the student should:

 

 

a.       Recognize ethical dilemmas and adhere to accepted principles for ethical research conduct.

b.      Maintain professional competence, thousand judgements, ethical behavior, adherence to legal and professional guidelines and principles.

c.       Treat others with respect.

 

 

8. Social awareness and social responsibility:

 

The student must demonstrate an understanding of self, the strengths and challenges of cultural diversity, and the historic responses of society in times of rapid change, the student should:

 

a.       Demonstrate awareness of key issues and debates in healthcare.

b.      Demonstrate cultural competence awareness of the impact that cultural, social and ethnic differences can play in the provision of healthcare.

 

 

9. Professional abilities and habits:

 

The student must effectively self assess and recognize the need for continuous professional development. The student should:

 

a.       Demonstrate the ability to self assesses and take needed steps to ensure professional growth and competence.

b.      Take an active role in professional organization.

c.       Exhibit positive professional, empathetic attitudes and behaviors on all intra and interprofessional communication.

 

10. Group interaction and citizenship:

 

The student must demonstrate effective interpersonal and intergroup behaviors in a variety of situation and circumstances, including the ability to:

 

a.       Participate functionally on team efforts within pharmaceutical sciences.

b.      Discuss and defend differences of opinion with other professionals.

c.       Display habits of service to one’s community and profession.

d.      Develop an overall sense of community and citizenship.
