Abroad Mania
Students of today’s generation are enthusiastic and triggered to shape their talents into wonderful careers and their plans of moving abroad just depict the same trend of the present generation. Students in INDIA mostly want to land on the foreign soil and earn lots of foreign currency and fill their pockets and pharmacy students are no exception to this concept.
If one wonders why this is happening many reasons come into the light and restricting to the field of pharmacy the causes are unveiled as:
• Qualification for the Higher education abroad is easy as they are based upon the scores obtained from the exams like GRE, TOEFL, and IELTS which are easy to crack in comparison with the GATE.
• Research facilities are vast and sophisticated which drives the interests of many students to the foreign universities.
• Meager salaries paid to the graduates in the home country.
• Passion to conquer the world and to learn to depth of the subject.
• Resembling the trend of the globalization.
• Dearth of the experienced Faculty in many colleges.
How long does it take?
It is a never ending phenomenon and it would probably end only upon providing proper employment as well as educational implementations as the PHARM-D course and many more.
Is it helpful?
The emigration phenomenon largely helps the western soil providing them with the skilled labor at the cheaper rates and individually it helps to improve the economic condition and to quench one’s “DOLLER DREAMS” but to the nation it is a huge loss as the intelligence and the talent work force is driven away from the country.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?
Every one of us must be responsible for this concept .We cant blame the Government as in INDIA we ourselves frame the country. The Government and the P.C.I should be innovative in their works rather than traditional and must be inspired by the western world but not copy them and the best example is Pharmainfo.net, the prestigious organization in the Canada, striving to unmask the caliber in us by conducting this competition.
We only can change the fate of the nation as it is said “we shouldn’t ask what the nation has done for us, but we should ask ourselves what we have done to the nation. I recapitulate by saying that we should absorb the merits in the foreign countries and must be back to our mother country and serve the nation to the best of our services for its development and honour.
