III.LIFE –CYCLE OF PERFUME

The perfume does not reamin exactly the same throughout its life-span especially so when it used in mixtures. Hence life-cycle of perfumes is studied.

Top-note: the initial fragrance which is given by a perfume. It is the immediate impression we get after application. Eg: Depilatories
Body it is the main impression that remain for a long time. The perfume is released slowly.
Eg: Powders

Dry out : The remaining frangrance after application and evaporation.
Thin-perfumes : Thin perfumes does not have a body.
Strength : strength is the intensity if the perfume that is exhibitied.
Fixation : The quick evaporaling components are fixed in such a way that the perfume is release slowly.
Lasting time : the time for which the perfume exhibits its fragrance.
Cosmetics require perfumes with efficient properties according to the product which they are used
