Exams test the student's caliber and helps both the students and the teachers to assess the performance of the individual. In Professional studies theoretical and practical papers are introduced to estimate the all round performance of the individual.
The Practical exams assess the student's practical knowledge. They must be taken seriously
SIGNIFICANCE:
They are scoring as they boost the overall percentage
They help us to understand some aspects of the subject which are tough theoretically.
They are reflection of the future R&D sector as we need to be through with our practicals to fare well in this particular sector
We would have versatile opportunities as the entire pharmacy profession is practically oriented and there cold be copious reasons for gaining the practical knowledge.
Theory VS Practical..
A student good at theory is necessarily expected to be the same in case of practicals?
This question is answered in my next blog

YES..
Practicals only give us clear picture, up to which extent we got grip on the topic as both practice, skills and viva are involved.

Re: Yes
Dear sir,
I am happy that you have understood my point and agreed with it.
Practicals
Dear Reddy,
In my 'scoring' adding to the percentage is the last significance of the practicals. The totality of understanding and learning of a subject includes the practical knowledge, which will help to survive in the field..right?
That's True.....
Dear praseen,
An excellent point made by you which is why the practicals were included in our curriculum but my point was in order to gain good percentage one must score well in the practical exams. In our arena we loose ranks differing in the practical marks as the theory marks are nearly equal . so, it was just a opinion of mine but i cant say it is universally true.
