TCGP model: The ultimate R and D cost cutter for pharma industries
The year 2008 has come with two remarkable developments for AJP . One, this has become official publication of TIFAC-CORE in Green Pharmacy (TCGP) and two, this journal would now be handled by Medknow Publications. The impact of Medknow participation should become evident by the services you would encounter; about the TCGP, I am going to narrate you briefly.
TIFAC-CORE in Green Pharmacy is a Center of Relevance and Excellence being established under agreement with Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (DST, GOI) and BR Nahata College of Pharmacy with an objective of enriching the Holistic Health Sciences and Modern Pharmaceutical Technology with each other. Here, this journal has a lot to contribute. As my personal encounter with Ayurved goes, I am fascinated by its Pharmaceutics. I find it being no less charming than that of Modern Pharmaceutical Technology. There are more than 100 dosage forms described in Ayurved and concepts such as Drug Delivery/Targeting or Sustained Release existed long back. Hence, there exists an exciting opportunity of developing products employing crossing-over of Ayurved and the Modern Pharmaceutical Technology. This journal shall be extremely keen in publishing any new knowledge of this domain.
