INJECTIONS BANNED..
Shocking news!!!!! Basing on a complaint received from Superindent of King George Hospital (KGH), one of the ancient hospitals in Visakhapatnam, Drug inspector of Vizag inspected the medical store at KGH and found a "suspended black mass like matter" in "SODIUM LACTATE INJECTION" and "undissolved matter" in "PENTASOL IV INJECTION". While sending the drug samples to DCL (Hyderabad), the DI ATV Ramadevi advised the consumers, chemists, doctors and Govt. Hospitals not to use these two drugs.
Sodium lactate, after dilution, as a source of bicarbonate for prevention or control of mild to moderate metabolic acidosis in patients with restricted oral intake whose oxidative processes are not seriously impaired.
Pentasol is a sodium pentobarbital powder.

Dear sirisha
Very good! Did you get the name of the manufacturers? Disclose that name.
This is what we mean when we say a drug is nsq. It is not meeting the requirements of Indian Pharmacopoea. Indian pharmacopoea lays down the standards for all drugs and drug products in India. If for any product standards are not available in the pharmacopoeas it means it is a patented product.
well done!
