Family	Solanaceae
Chemical entities	Nicotine Nornicotine Anabasine
Uses	Stimulant Insecticide For crops, it is used in the form of nicotine sulphate

ARECA

Obtained from Plant	Areca catechu seeds
Also called	Betel nut
Family	Palmae
Chemical entities	Arecoline Arecaidine Guvacine Guvacoline
Uses	Antihelminthic,vermicide for animals
Remarks	Arecoline - active and other entities are inactive

LOBELIA

Obtained from Plant	Lobelia nicotianaefolia aerial organs
Also called	Indian tobacco
Family	Campanulaceae
Identification	Lobeline mixed with sulphuric acid + formaldehyde -> red color Lobeline -> on boiling -> gives acetophenone
Chemical entities	Lobeline Lobelidine Lobelanine Isolobelanine Lobelanidine Resins, fixed oils
Uses	Respiratory stimulant Brochial asthma and chronic bronchitis treatment
