Abstract:

Fast disintegrating tablets of Diphenhydramine Tannate were prepared by wet granulation method after incorporating superdisintegrants like Sodium starch glycolate (SSG) and Crosspovidone INF (Polyplasdone XL) in different concentrations. Seven formulations having superdisintegrants at different concentration levels were prepared to assess their efficiency and critical concentration level. Seven different types of evaluation parameters for tablets were evaluated. Tablets containing SSG show superior organoleptic properties along with excellent in-vitro and vivo dispersion time and drug release as compared to other formulations
