The role of the Transplant Account Manager (TAM) is to represent the use of Wyeth products to clinicians involved with renal transplant in a manner which is consistent with Wyeth’s Mission, Vision and Values. This includes having all promotional messages consistent with approved labeling and targeting the appropriate physician audience. Ongoing technical expertise in the therapeutic area (kidney transplantation) and management of the patient post transplantation is a requirement of the Transplant Account Manager. The TAM properly directs all unsolicited questions that are outside of the approved labeling to Global Medical Affairs. The key focus of the TAM position is to expand the use of Wyeth products by renal transplant clinicians in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives outlined for the territory, region and nation. This is accomplished by having an excellent understanding of approved product and disease state knowledge and delivering consistent, effective sales presentations. TAMs will be certified on critical disease states that pertain to kidney transplantation as well as Rapamune. The incumbent must strictly abide by all Wyeth policies, Wyeth Code of Conduct and government regulations.
