Job Responsibilities

You must have a Master's Degree in a field of science with a minimum of 4 years relevant academic or pharmaceutical laboratory experience or a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years relevant laboratory experience. You must have a demonstrated working knowledge of protein recombinant protein expression in mammalian systems as well as all common procedures in molecular biology.

Basic Qualifications

BS in Cell Biology, Immunology, or Biochemistry.

State type and minimum number of years of prior experience required to perform job duties.

Candidate should have 3-5 years of academic or industry experience.

The candidate should have experience in immune cell culture and immune assay development including Flow cytometry and ELISAs.

Job Responsibilities

Understand the principles involved in ongoing experiments.

Demonstrate a high level of initiative in performing experiments, particularly when problems are encountered which require troubleshooting.

Conduct several experiments, some complex, in parallel.

Perform calculations and draw conclusions regarding progress and results of work.

Job Responsibilities

To explore methods for the expression of candidate vaccines, using DNA cloning and molecular biology techniques to obtain optimal expression.

To use molecular microbiology techniques to attenuate bacterial pathogens.

To use functional assays, including in vitro enzyme assays and cell culture models, to assess vaccine candidates.

Job Responsibilities

Conducts several experiments, some complex, in parallel by following established protocol and utilizing current concepts and recognized standard techniques, going beyond established protocol as appropriate. Provides input for problem solving and optimizes and trouble shoots protocols.

* Design and conduct experiments utilizing previously encountered procedures, and understand the principles involved in ongoing experiments.
* Actively participate in experimental design and demonstrate a high level of initiative in performing experiments, multitasking, troubleshooting, performing data analysis and interpretation.

Basic Qualifications
· B.S. degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biology or related field required.
· Good knowledge in animal science, recombinant DNA technology, virology, immunology and cell biology. 0-5 years post-graduate work experience preferred.
· Good oral and written communication skills are required.
