Basic Qualifications

Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, or related field + 5-years experience. BS/MS degree for internal candidates only.

Incumbent should have prior laboratory experience primarily in organic chemistry with emphasis on carbohydrate chemistry and structural analysis of carbohydrates. Training in glycocconjugate chemistry would be considered a plus.

Keep abreast of breaking technical developments in organic chemistry, process development, automated reaction screening.

Satisfactorily complete all cGMP/cGLP and safety training in conformance with Departmental requirements.

Basic Qualifications

A Ph.D. in appropriate field with 12 years experience

Laboratory experience in a relevant field of science. The incumbent will be trained on required Policies, Practices, and Procedures needed to support her (his) work responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

Provide leadership and guidance in the design of robust downstream processes for the purification of protein vaccine candidates sufficient for Discovery Research purposes (0.01-1gm/prep). .

Provide high quality data on the biochemical and biophysical properties of protein vaccine candidates.

Job Responsibilities

Manages and coordinates all aspects of a group focused on in vitro biological and functional assay development and qualification. Assigns assay development and qualification tasks to staff and ensures assay deliverables are met on time and with high quality.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in animal science or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.

AALAS Technician certification (LAT) or equivalent required.
AALAS Technologist certification (LATG) or equivalent preferred.

One-three years experience working in a laboratory animal facility.
