V Blender - 2 D Simulation
Submitted by on Sun, 02/03/2008 - 23:52A V-blender is a type of tumble mixer commonly used in industrial processes to mix pharmaceutical materials.
V-blenders consist of two cylindrical sections joined at an angle of around 90 degrees. The mixer is rotated about a horizontal axis, with mixing resulting from the tumbling motion of the particles.
The video shows the particles colored by type so the amount of mixing can be seen clearly.
